Categories of the ATM card

We have two categories of ATM card;

1.      Local card: the local card is native to Nigeria, and retails for N12, 000 only. It has a one year validity period, and is acceptable in Nigeria only. You can  use the card to buy goods online, pay  for goods and services via pos systems, withdraw cash from any ATM machine, and go cashless

2.      International card: the international card is also sold in Nigeria, and retails for N45, 000 only. It has a one year validity period, and is acceptable in 106 countries worldwide (Nigeria included). It’s a Master card, and can be used to purchase goods online, pay  for goods and services via pos systems, withdraw cash from any ATM machine, and go cashless

 The Cash-Less Policy…

A new CBN policy on cash-based transactions which stipulates a ‘cash handling charge’ on daily cash withdrawals or cash deposits that exceed N500, 000 for Individuals and N3, 000,000 for corporate bodies. The new policy on cash-based transactions (withdrawals & deposits) in banks, aims at reducing (NOT ELIMINATING) the amount of physical cash (coins and notes) circulating in the economy, and encouraging more electronic-based transactions (payments for goods, services, transfer, etc.)

What are the processing fees/charges? Below are the processing fees/charges for both individual and corporate accounts.

• Processing fee charge for individuals on withdrawals is 3%
• Processing fee for corporate withdrawal is 5%
• Processing fee for individuals on lodgment is 2%
• Processing fee for corporate on lodgment is 3%.

Merchants can decide to customize his/her card. In this case the card is designed to carry the look and feel of the merchant but powered by QCN. (We are the vibrant silent partner).

A merchant (business Owner) can decide to sell his own customized cards to customers that patronize him. In this case, the customers do not only enjoy discounts from the merchant, but from other merchants in the listed QCN merchant directory nationwide. The customized cards will be accepted in all the places where the QCN cards are honored. The merchant can sell the cards at whatever rate he/she wishes.
